Police have been given extra powers to take action on crime in Chiswick and Acton with the extension of Stop and Search. This has been authorised following non-specified incidents of violence.

A Section 60 order has been obtained from 1.45am this Tuesday (19 May) until 4.45pm for the W3 post code area and parts of W4 in London Borough of Ealing.

The order was authorised by Inspector Wills. A S35 Dispersal Authority has also been authorised by Inspector Ballard and will also run from 11am Tuesday until 1059 hours on 21 May 2020.

Section 35 is an additional temporary power that allows officers to tell a person to leave an area and not return within 48 hours, for the purposes of removing or reducing crime or disorder.
