A 21-year-old man is in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after being assaulted in Chiswick this Friday evening (7 May).

The emergency services found him with significant injuries to his legs and arms after being called to Church Path, near South Acton train station, at 10:16pm.

The wounds are not believed to have been knife-inflicted.

He was conveyed by ambulance to a London Hospital where his condition remains serious but stable.

Detective Inspector Jane Mallett said: "We believe the victim suffered his injuries as the result of a sustained attack by a number of others.

"They may well be life-changing and he is likely to require extensive medical treatment as he recovers. Any witnesses who saw this incident should call police immediately.”

There have been no arrest made to date and police are appealing for any witnesses or information relating to this incident.
