A man was found dead in a garden in Dukes Avenue this Monday afternoon (6 September) leading to a significant emergency services presence on the road.

The police say they were called to the scene at 1.59pm after a report of an elderly man found unresponsive.

He was given CPR by London Ambulance Service paramedics before being pronounced dead at the scene.

The next of kin of the deceased, who is believed to be in his seventies, have been informed.

Although the cause of death has not yet been established the police do not think it is suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers to remain anonymous.
