A three foot high stone lion has been stolen from a front garden in Corney Road. The Chatsworth lion, one of a pair, was stolen on the night of the 5th/6th of May between 7pm and 7am.

The lion would have been extremely heavy and local Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything unsual on the night in question.

LATEST - The Lion was recovered after a victim of a burglary at a commercial premises on Sutton Court Road saw press reports of the theft. The statue had been used to smash the window to gain access.
