A 59-year-old man was apparently assaulted during a mugging on Chiswick High Road this Saturday (20th August).

A woman in a neighbouring building heard screams and looked out of her window to see the man on the pavement with another man standing over him. She went to help but by the time she reached the scene the other man had fled.

The victim has no memory of the attack other than feeling someone pushing against him as he walked along the High Road after getting off a 237 bus at around 2pm. The next thing he knew was that he was lying on the ground.

Three gold chains, a silver chain and two rings, valued at over £300, had been taken

The suspect is described as being in his early thirties, around 6ft tall, with short brown hair and wearing jeans and a long sleeved blue shirt. He was also wearing sunglasses on the top of his head.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact TDC Tony Royce on 020 8247 5940.
