A mother of two had her bag snatched from her shoulder as she was placing her children into their car.

The incident happened last Thursday 12th January 2006 at 17.45 as the 27 year old woman was walking along Fraser Street with her two children to where their car was parked.

After placing one of the children into the back seat she was walking the other child round to the other car door when she was pushed from behind and her bag was grabbed.

The male suspect, who had come from the direction of Duke Road ran off towards Devonshire Road.

He was described as slim build, 5’ 8”, wearing a black top with the hood up, no further description is available.


The victim was not hurt during the robbery. The bag snatched by the thief was black with a shoulder strap and contained items valued at approximately £350 including a purse, cash, credit cards and a mobile phone.
