Perilous Pizza Delivery

Duke Road delivery ended in armed police raid

It transpires that the Duke Road firearm’s incident we reported last week was the result of a dispute over payment of pizza.

Police cordoned off the area, including surrounding roads, on the evening of Wednesday June 11th and specialist armed officers stormed the house arresting four people. A firearm, now believed to be replica pump action shotgun, was recovered in the raid.

28-year-old Matthew Adey from 104 Duke Road has subsequently been charged with the theft of pizzas worth £37 and possession of an imitation firearm.
