A handbag snatch which has all the hallmarks of a similar crime committed on Woodstock Road earlier in the month has taken place in Ranelagh Gardens in Stamford Brook.

At around 8am on Monday 21st August a 26 year old woman had just got into her blue Volkswagen Golf and was sorting through her handbag which was on the front seat next to her. Suddenly the passenger window was smashed and her bag was grabbed.

The suspect ran off to a green Renault Clio, which was parked with its hazard lights flashing. The Clio sped off in the direction of Vaughan Avenue.

The suspect was a white male, about 20 years, 5’09”, skinny build, scars on his face, wearing a blue baseball cap and a dark Adidas tracksuit.

Property taken was a brown leather handbag containing a mobile phone, purse, credit cards, filofax etc, value about £1000.
