An attempted robbery in Harvard Road was thwarted after a passer by came to the aid of a teenager.

The incident happened at 17.00 on Wednesday 6th December.  The victim, a 14 year old student, had left Gunnersbury Station via the back walkway and had reached Harvard Road when he was approached from behind by a black male, slim, early 20s, wearing a black Air Max hoody who threatened the victim and demanded "his stuff".

A passing member of the public overhead this and rugby tackled the suspect then punched him as the victim ran away.

Local Police are asking this man, believed to be in his 30's with brown receding hair and wearing a denim jacket, to come forward in the hope that he can provide better details of the suspect.

Any information to PC Paul Buckley in the Robbery Squad on 020 8247 5940 please or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
