Local Police has informed ChiswickW4.com of two incidents in the past fortnight where Polish migrants have been deposited in the Chiswick area by persons purporting to have found them accommodation and work.

A Police spokesperson said “This is a scam where individuals respond to an ad in a Polish newspaper, are met at Victoria coach station and brought to Chiswick. They are then taken to residential accommodation, asked for £250 and given a 'room key.' By the time they find they cannot access the property, the persons operating the scam have left”

“This scam my well be repeated. Please warn friends, neighbours and family and dial 999 if you encounter these tricksters”
