Following thirteen thefts from motor vehicles in almost as many days, Chiswick Police have issued a car crime hotspot warning and a request for help in finding their main suspect.

Police believe a white male in his 20’s, who has been seen loitering in this area, may be responsible and are looking to the community for help in locating him.

Witnesses or anyone with any information regarding these crimes is asked to call Hounslow Vehicle Investigation Team 0208 247 5940 or Crime Stoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.

Although they may seem obvious to some, local Police have also issued the following tips to help motorists ensure that they and their vehicles do not become victims of car crime.

1. make sure vehicles are left secure
2. don’t leave valuable items or any items on show in the vehicle
3. be vigilant around strange people acting suspiciously in your road
4. call police if in doubt

If there is anyone else you believe could help Police with their investigation into these incidents, please forward this article onto them.
