Follow numerous reports of criminal damage from residents of the Devonshire Road / Glebe estate area, Safer Neighbourhood Officers have arrested and charged two suspects.

The officers investigated 14 reports of crimes in which cars had been etched with graffiti 'tags', as well as walls and council bins which led to the identification of the owners of the two main 'tags'.

Officers from Turnham Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team arrested one of the suspects at his home address and seized further evidence.

The second suspect was arrested for criminal damage to motor vehicles a few days later at his home address.

Both suspects are currently on police bail pending forensic examination of evidence seized.

Residents who have had their cars damaged by being etched with graffiti 'tags' are asked to contact the Turnham Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team on 0208 247 6415 or email them on Turnhamgreen.snt@met.police.uk. Anyone with information about graffiti tags, particularly which tags are done by which graffiti 'taggers', is asked to contact officers in the same way.
