Teenage Girl Sought For Artifice Burglary

Money stolen after using ruse of writing note for a neighbour

Police are looking for a teenage girl after a Prince of Wales Terrace resident reported money stolen.

The incident happened on 27th January at 16.00 when the victim, a 66-year-old male, answered the door to the suspect who asked if she could borrow some paper to leave a note for his neighbour.

The victim fetched a piece of paper and noticed the suspect had entered the house.

The girl wrote a note and then left which was when the victim noticed a quantity of coins missing from the table where the suspect had been sitting.

He described the suspect as being a white female, aged 18 years, 5'8", stocky build, with mousy shoulder length hair and spoke with an Irish accent.
