The Police in Chiswick

Thieves broke into St Nicholas Church overnight on Thursday 17th April causing a lot of damage.

Forcing entry through the side door of the church, Police believe the thieves were trying to get to the safe but broke into the wrong room.

Although nothing was stolen, a lot of damage was done to the interior of the historic church which dates back to 1181.

Davina Stokes of Chiswick Homefields' Safer Neighbourhood Team has circulated details to the local neighhourhood watch.

Also known as Chiswick Parish Church, St Nicholas is on Church Street close to the river at Chiswick Mall.
