Police are appealing for witnesses following a vicious attack on a 20 year old woman in the early hours of Tuesday 12th August.

The victim was walking with her friend along Sutton Court Road near to the bus stop near Lawford Road at 12.30am. Two males approached her and grabbed her handbag containing purse, cash, bank cards and other personal items. She clung onto her bag, and the two youths dragged her to the floor, and kicked her several times in the face and body before making off with her handbag. The woman sustained several cuts, grazes and bruising, but was not taken to hospital.

The first attacker is described as black, around 16 years old, 6’0”, wearing a hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms, thin build. The second was white around 15 years old, 5’3”, wearing a dark hooded top and dark Adidas tracksuit trousers, light brown hair, thin build
