British Transport Police are currently investigating a series of robberies in and around Chiswick railway station.

BTP Detective Sergeant Tony Burman said police had received reports from local residents in the area surrounding Chiswick railway station who had recently fallen victim to robbery.

“It would seem that local residents have been targeted. Cash has been the main item taken.

“BTP has made an arrest for robbery in the area, but we are continuing our investigations and believe that members of the public can assist our inquiry.

“We’re urging anyone who may have been victim or witness to a robbery on or around Chiswick railway station to contact us with any information they may have. Information will be treated in the strictest confidence. Anyone who has information to report to police is urged to contact BTP freefone on 0800 40 50 40 quoting background log B4 of 19/12/2008.”
