On the 15th July (Thursday) at around 12.30pm a female cyclist was robbed on Dukes Avenue near the junction with Barrowgate Road. The 73 year old woman was travelling north towards Chiswick High Road when another cyclist drew up along side her and snatched her bag which was in the basket on the front of her bike. The bag contained cash, credit cards and a Nokia mobile phone.

The suspect is described as being north African or middle eastern in appearance, aged about 22, of slim build with shoulder length curly black hair and wearing a long black coat. He was riding a very distinctive bright yellow mountain bike. After snatching the bag he proceeded up Dukes Avenue and rode into Hadley Gardens. It is believed he followed his victim from the Ellesmere Road (the A4).
