A man has died after apparently falling in the snow in Chiswick on Saturday morning (19th January).

The body of a man was found in Arlington Gardens near Turnham Green at 9am.

Police believe that he slipped and fell in the snow in the early hours of the morning.

He has been named as John Damien Lavery aged 44. Mr. Lavery was originally from Northern Ireland.

A resident in Arlington Gardens said the police had knocked on doors early on Saturday morning and said a man with a head injury had been found lying in the snow. Local people were asked if they had seen or heard anything.

It is understood that the man was living in a flat in a Victorian building which was converted into four flats about thirty years ago.
