A man was stabbed on Chiswick High Road in the early hours of Monday morning (4th August) outside the Sainsbury's Local store.

The victim, who is in his thirties, is said by police to be in a serious but stable condition after being wounded in the upper body. A person is currently in custody at Hounslow police station in relation to the assault. The detained person is known by the victim. No one else is being sought in connection.

Staff at the store told us they arrived early this morning to find the scene of the attack cordoned off and blood on the pavements. The stabbing is believed to have taken place at some time before 5.30am.
