Police are appealing for witnesses to a bag snatch that took place near Ashbourne Grove on Monday 24th Janaury at around 9.25pm.

A 28 year old woman had just got off the 27 bus on Chiswick Lane when a car drove past her. The suspect stopped the car and then ran up behind her and snatched the victim's handbag, laughing as he did so. She gave chase but he ran back up to his car, got in on the driver's side and then drove north.

The bag that was stolen was described as shiny and red. It was later discovered in Brookfield Road in Chiswick with all the contents still in it except the cash.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, slim and about 6ft tall. He was wearing a long, light blue 'puffa' style jacket with a hood. The victim wasn't sure about the make of car but thought it may possibly have been a blue Ford Ka.
