Two suspects were arrested, charged and appeared in court after a vigilant member of the public in Chiswick reported suspicious activity.

In the early hours of Saturday 22 April, police were called by a person who had noticed two males acting suspiciously. The witness was able to give details of their vehicle, which was subsequently stopped near Chiswick roundabout.

The occupants of the vehicle had in their possession a quantity of tools from an address that had just been burgled.

The two men aged 25 and 29 years old were arrested by Response Team E for burglary.

Both have been charged and have appeared in a West London Magistrates Court.

The police said "Great work and thank you to the vigilant member of the public!

"Total Policing is the Met's commitment to be on the streets and in your communities to catch offenders, prevent crime and support victims. We are here for London, working with you to make our capital safer."
