Two arrests were made in the Grove Park area this Friday evening (23 June) after pursuit involving a moped and a number of police cars.

The police were responding to reports of a group of teenagers attempting to get access to parked cars north of the A4. One of the cars is believed to have collided with the moped at some time before 10pm and one person was detained at that point on Grove Park Road. A knife was recovered from the scene. A second suspect made off but was discovered in a nearby shed by a police dog.

A National Police Air Service Helicopter was also involved in the operation. The service later apologised for the amount of noise saying they were required to fly at a low level due to the area being under the Heathrow flight path.
