Reportedly the police were called after a woman’s screams were heard coming from his terraced house. The women is believed to be his ex-partner. Mr Lamarr was arrested and taken away for questioning.

He was charged on 1 September and was released on conditional bail and is now due to appear before magistrates in Uxbridge, on 2 October, according to the police.

One of his neighbours said, "I pass him regularly in the street and he will always smile and say hi. He is not starry at all, if anything a bit shy. It was very sad to hear what had happened."
