Five people have escaped from a house fire on a private road off Southfield Road today (Monday 17th December).

The blaze on Copenhagen Gardens led to a man and a woman have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and burns. Another woman suffering from smoke inhalation has also been taken to hospital. Part of the roof and a large part of the second floor have been damaged by the blaze.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Ealing, Acton, and Chiswick fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 8.48am and the fire was under control at 10.05am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
