Mercedes Car Catches Fire on Thames Road

Blaze took place near gates of Strand on the Green School

A Mercedes saloon car went up in flames on Thames Road this afternoon (29th April) just as children were being collected from Strand on the Green school at around 3.45pm.

The car was on the yellow zig zag no stopping lines outside the road leading to the school.

London Fire Brigade attended the scene and quickly got the fire under control. There have no reports of anyone being hurt as a result of the fire.
