Dukes Meadows paddling pool has been a focal point for fun activities this summer and last Friday 29th June, it was selected as the stage for some exciting filming by a local production company.

Dot-to-Dot productions are working on a new children's educational programme for CBeebies and decided the natural landscaped surroundings of the water play area would make a lovely backdrop for the children they wished to feature playing football.

'Scribble It!' is aimed at 2-5 year olds, focusing on being creative with art! Within each episode is a 'real film' clip that helps the story reach a conclusion.

This particular film clip was about a Spider who loves to be active and play football, but she doesn't know what role she can be on the team! To find out, she looks into the ‘Scribble’ pad, which will feature the children trying to score a goal and having fun playing football. The spider will realise she can be a great goalie using all her 8 legs and spinning a web for the goal!

The programme has been commissioned by the BBC for viewing next year, possibly February 2008.

Forthcoming events at the Paddling Pool, Dukes Meadows:
