Sunday 15th July saw the final event in this year’s brilliant programme of Summer Fun at Dukes Meadows paddling pool. The last event was children’s entertainer Amanda’s Action kids; the rainbow blanket was raised to the sky by parents whilst kids played beneath (see picture right), the colours brightening up a slightly cloudy day! Despite the weather, it was another great success and lovely to see so many people joining in.

Easter Sunday saw the first event of the season with an Easter egg hunt, egg and spoon races and egg painting. The programme of activities included visits from Hounslow’s urban farm, Punch and Judy, Albert & Friends’ circus workshops and a very popular day of donkey rides.

“I would like to thank Hamptons Estate Agents and the Chiswick Area Committee for their kind sponsorship which has allowed us to organise these free events” said Verity Thomson, Development Manager for Dukes Meadows Trust who organised the programme. “The Summer Fun events have been a real success, and we hope we can do something just as good, if not better, next year”

Although the Summer Fun events have come to an end for this season, the paddling pool will remain open all Summer between 10am – 2pm.
