FULLER’S WIN “PUB COMPANY OF THE YEAR”

Fuller Smith and Turner P.L.C, the Chiswick based brewers and retailers were named “Pub Company of the Year” at the “Publican Awards” held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London this week.

These prestigious industry awards, organised by leading trade title “The Publican Newspaper” are in their eleventh year and recognise the cream of the pub and licensed retail industry. Fuller’s saw off competition from fellow finalists; Eldridge Pope & Co P.L.C, Greene King Pub Co. and Scottish & Newcastle Retail, in the Pub Company of the Year - Managed (100 plus outlets) category.

A judging panel of industry experts chaired by the Publican Newspaper’s publisher David Goulthorpe said; “ Fuller’s was a unanimous choice for the panel who recognised that the Chiswick based brewer has yet again consistently delivered well managed traditional and modern pubs with fantastic ales and excellent food. Fuller’s has expanded its estate with great success while remaining committed to quality and delivering the highest levels of service.”

The Publican newspaper also commented; “By maintaining attention to detail, personal contact and continually striving to understand its customers, Fuller’s has managed yet again to deliver what the customer wants.”

The judges’ decision followed a series of mystery visits to outlets run by the four finalists as well as a question and answer session with representatives from each company.”Simon Emeny, Fuller’s Retail Director was at the ceremony to collect the award and said; “This is a fantastic achievement for Fuller’s and I am delighted to be collecting this award on behalf of the company. We are fortunate to have an excellent team of people working for us, taking pride in everything that they do and I’m delighted these efforts have been officially recognised.”
