Local girl Lois Matthews has entered a talent competition for a possible record contract.

The competition is organised by Urban Origin and one of the major aims of the event is to root out hidden talent and provide them with a platform they may otherwise be denied.

Lois of Acton Green was 16 in August and attends Twyford CoE High School where she is studying for her A Levels. She has always loved the performing arts and sang her first song' Under the Boardwalk' in front of an audience at the age of 5.

Since then Lois has attended part time stage school at evenings and weekends to pursue what she loves doing the most, singing, acting and dancing.

So far her stage career has taken in Nickelodeon TV with her own script and panto with Darren Day plus advertisements on television - playing cheeky schoolgirls. She has recently been doing a spot of modeling for London Fashion Week.
