Community spirit has helped reunited several lost pets with their owners in time for Christmas.

Members of the ActonW3.com and ChiswickW4.com forums helped find Pug, a 9-month-old black cairn terrier, who went missing from Grove Park on Saturday. Pug, who actually lives in Acton, was being looked after by ChiswickW4 contributor Bob Forsyth for a week while his owner was away. He thought the dog might have returned home to Acton and posted a message on the ActonW3 forum too.

"A lady visiting her niece in Grove Park saw the dog running around. She then bumped into a dog walker who had seen Pug's photo up on the ChiswickW4 forum", says Forsyth who was very relieved to have the dog back after four nights in some of the coldest temperatures yet. The woman then looked up the ChiswickW4 forum on her phone and got in touch.

"I'm absolutely delighted with the support we've had from Forum members," he added.

Meanwhile back in Acton, forum member Chloe Ireland's black cat Bella was found safe and well after being missing since November 30 from Churchfield Road, W3. Robin Matthews, a poster on the ChiswickW4 forum, reported finding the cat in Bedford Park. Forum members got involved in both cases by posting pictures, reporting sightings and supporting the anxious owners.

Thank you to all of the forum posters out there who helped reunite these animals with their owners, a wonderful example of a community coming together.

There are still a number of pets missing, so please do keep a look out for them, hopefully they will be found safe and well and returned home in time for Christmas.
