The desperate owners of a missing called Bertie are offering a £500 reward for his safe return.

Bertie went missing from their garden in Montgomery Road on Monday (August 26 ) and they are worried that his lack of agility may have left him stuck or in a difficult situation

His owners say: "Bertie is quite the local celebrity around the streets where we live. He was ill as a kitten which left him with a permanent head tilt and deaf in one ear. The result is that he has a jaunty look, isn't the most agile of cats and doesn't realise how loud his voice is! He is very personable, our neighbours are very kind to him and he is affectionately known as 'Wonky Cat'.

"As he is also deaf in the right ear we are worried about him coping on his own as he's not the best hunter. He does not wear a collar but he is microchipped.

"We would be grateful if anyone nearby could have a look in garden sheds and outbuildings in case he is stuck inside. If anyone sees him, please call us: Andrew - 07875 514025 or Jennifer 07540 333184."
