The owner of a missing Jack Russell puppy has appealed to local people to help find his missing dog.

Toupie was tied up outside Sainsbury's in Essex Place yesterday (March 18) when he went missing at around 5.30 pm. He is brown, white and black in colour and was wearing a harness and lead.

His owner, who has been living in Chiswick since September, said a number of people had told him they saw a man walking away with the puppy. He is hoping CCTV pictures will help track down the suspect.

The police are investigating.

In an incident last April,a dog taken from outside Sainsbury's was recovered in Shepherd's Bush. Police said that this type of theft was still a rare event in Chiswick but advised owners to exercise caution if leaving their dogs unattended.
