Troy, the dog who was taken from outside the large Sainsbury on Chiswick High Road, has been reunited with his relieved owner Gwen.

Troy was found at Shepherd's Bush Green by a woman who said she found him and had taken him home for the night on Monday.

She said she had contacted the Hammersmith & Fulham dog warden on Tuesday who checked the dog's chip number and the microchip company were able to contact Troy's owner in Chiswick.

Troy still had his collar and lead but his id tag had been removed.

Police are anxious to trace a thin, pale man aged 20-30 years old with a blond goatee beard, wearing a black and white Tibetan style hat with ear flaps and a Parker style jacket. He was seen with Troy when he vanished outside Sainsbury's on Monday.
