Hounslow Council is offering free parking this Christmas Eve in all car parks across the borough.

The move will allow last-minute shoppers the chance to complete their Christmas purchases, as well as those starting the festive celebrations early in the borough’s restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues.

The move applies to all car parks on 24 December – on street parking will remain metered.

NOTE: Chiswick has two off-street car parks, Bath Road CP (accessed from Welstead Way) and Chiswick Common Road CP (adjacent to Bond Street). The Pay & Display area outside the Police Station on the High Road is counted as on-street parking and this will be enforced as normal.

Cllr Ed Mayne, Hounslow Council’s cabinet member for community safety and regulatory services said:

“I hope many residents will take advantage of free Christmas Eve parking to find the last few items they need for Christmas day or kick off the celebrations early.

“We hope this will make a big difference to traders, shoppers and revellers and go some small way to making Christmas easier and more enjoyable.”
