Council officers demolish Brookfield Road 'land grab'

Ealing Council officers took enforcement action after a resident of Brookfield Road, Chiswick extended their garden wall without without permission.

The wall protruded out into the passageway which runs behind behind the house onto land which belongs the to Council (photo right).

Even after a number of written warnings from the Council, the home owner still failed to get planning permission to keep the development or rectify the breach.

Therefore last week envirocrime officers demolished the wall and cleared between 5-6 tonnes of rubble.

The council will seek to recover costs involved.
