Hounslow Green Party have arranged a public meeting to discuss Land Tax at 7pm, Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at the George IV Pub, 185 Chiswick High Road. Dave Wetzel, President of the Labour Land Campaign will be speaking. All are very welcome to attend and entry is free. There will be a collection to cover costs.

In the meeting Mr. Wetzel, who is General Secretary of the International Union for Land Value Tax , will review problems with the current tax system and suggest Land Tax as an alternative. Land Tax could address issues such as poverty, unemployment, high cost housing and urban sprawl, he suggests. It could also help prevent the rich taking their assets abroad.

Dave Wetzel is a former Vice-Chair of Transport for London and previously the Leader of Hounslow Council and Chair of the GLC's Transport Committee.
