Plans to create a CPZ in Grove Park and Strand on the Green have been rejected by members of the Chiswick Area Planning Committee however they will continue to consult on shopper pay and display parking schemes around Chiswick Mainline station and other shopping areas.

All decisions made at the meeting on April 19th in respect of the recommendations of the report are as follows:

1.1 a) Members considered the results of the consultation undertaken.

1.1 b) Members considered the views expressed at the public meeting and in the various petitions.

1.1 c) Members unanimously rejected the proposal for the creation of a Grove Park CPZ.

1.1 d) Members agreed to the shopper ‘pay and display’ parking scheme in Station Parade, to operate from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

1.1 e) Members agreed to the shopper ‘pay and display’ parking scheme in Grove Park, to operate from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

1.1 f) Members did not agree that officers proceed with the statutory consultation for the making of Traffic Management Orders for a Grove Park CPZ, as the Committee had rejected this proposal.

1.1 g) Members agreed that officers proceed with the statutory consultation for the making of Traffic Management Orders (TMO)for the Station Parade and Grove Park areas shopper ‘pay and display’ parking schemes, and objections (if any) that cannot be resolved by officers be reported back to the Committee for consideration and if there are no unresolved objections officers implement the CPZ and make the TMO.

1.1 h) Members authorised officers to notify the residents and businesses in the consultation area as well as the organisers of the petitions and the No CPZ Group of the outcome of the consultation and the Committee’s decision.
