Three important roads in the Chiswick area are currently closed having been dug up by utility companies.

Thames Water are back at the Acton Lane site that was subject to a prolonged closure at the end of last year and only recently had been worked on by Cadent.

The road is closed northbound near the entrance to Sainsbury’s and the latest information is that the closure could continue until 10 February.

Thames Water are also returning to the recently dug up Sutton Court Road as another water main has burst in the area. Once again the latest estimate of completion is 10 February.

Gas utility Cadent were already onsite at the southern end of Dukes Avenue to deal with a suspected gas leak leading to no access to the A4. The date given for estimated completion of the work is 9 February.

Routes 272 and E3 are on diversion via Chiswick High Road, Chiswick Roundabout, Great West Road and Cedars Road and are missing stops “Chiswick Town Hall” and “Barrowgate Road”.

Ealing Council said the last time that Acton Lane was closed that camera enforcement of the access restriction on Fisher’s Lane would continue and advised motorists to use Turnham Green Terrace as an alternative.

You can email feedback on the Fisher's Lane closure to TrafficNotices@ealing.gov.uk, or post comments to the Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL.
