A burst water main on Gunnersbury Avenue caused chaos for hundreds of motorists this week.

Emergency services were called at 21:47 on Tuesday 9th December with a report that the main had ruptured and water was causing flooding.

A number of roads in the area had to be closed completely, including parts of Chiswick High Road, the A406 North Circular Road as well as the Chiswick Roundabout.

The congestion lasted well into Wednesday until all the roads were able to be reopened.
