The four week closure of Fishers Lane, Chiswick originally scheduled to begin on 26 September has apparently been postponed for a week.

According to signs placed at the location the work will now begin on 3 October. It appears as if work on the gas main by the National Grid on South Parade has not yet completed and that may be the reason for the delay.

We have asked the National Grid and Ealing Council for confirmation of the closure dates but have yet to receive a response from either.

Bus routes 272 and 440 will be diverted via Chiswick High Road and Turnham Green Terrace.

The road provides a link between South Parade and Chiswick High Road and is likely to mean diversions of both cars and buses and potential for gridlock around Turnham Green Terrace and Acton Lane.
