Emergency road works being undertaken to repair a water main by Thames Water have required lane closures by the entrance to Chiswick Business Park.

It is currently expected that the project will be completed by Wednesday (18 October) which will mean it wouldn’t coincide with the planned works due to take place nearby on Acton Lane.

Eastbound traffic currently is required to use the 24 hour operation bus lane. It is assumed that fines will not be issued to drivers using this lane, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Westbound, the work has required the closure of the right turn filter lane for traffic entering the business park. This is not expected to have a significant impact on traffic flows.

People working in the are have observed that the work was originally smaller in scale when it started but has expanded suggesting that the issues with the pipes may have been more severe than originally thought.
