The Chair of the Chiswick Area Forum, Cllr Ron Mushiso attended an event at Downing Street this Tuesday (29 November) at which he met the Prime Minister.

He attended the event, which was to mark the start of advent, ahead of the Borough Council meeting later that day.

The Prime Minister spoke of the importance of coming together as families and as communities in this period leading up to Christmas. Cllr Mushiso said that reminded those present of the difficulties we faced in recent past when we were all unsure about how to mark the festive season in a pandemic.

Cllr Mushiso later greeted the PM and handed the Chiswick Flower Market card to one of his staff.

He added, "I was delighted to have been invited alongside some of the leading politicians in the country and faith leaders. We all prayed together in the main reception, before listening to the PM's address. I felt it was important to use the opportunity to promote Chiswick and our flagship Flower Market. He was in Chiswick over the summer, so dashing over this Sunday or any subsequent Sunday shouldn't be a problem!"
