Two large mounds of building waste have been flytipped in the Dukes Meadows area.

The rubbish was dumped sometime before this Tuesday morning (27 October) on Dan Mason Drive about 100 yards east of the entrance to the Dukes Meadows Sports Club.

The incident has been reported to Hounslow Council by Cllr John Todd.

The closure of the underpass on Dan Mason Drive means there is no longer any through traffic at this point.

In 2019, Hounslow Council issued 4,803 Fixed Penalty Notices in relation to flytipping and littering on both public and private land.

Reports suggest that flytipping more than doubled in the UK following lockdown and has continued at a higher level even with the partial reopening of council dumps.

Residents can report any flytipping they encounter via the FixMyStreet app.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
