Southfield Primary school staff and pupils are celebrating their good 'end of year' report from school inspectors Ofsted.

The school was recently inspected under the new, more rigorous Ofsted Framework and the school was very pleased with Her Majesty’s Inspector’s findings.

They confirmed that the School has a “headteacher that provides strong leadership”; “effective leaders and managers” and a” highly ambitious governing body”.

Moreover they recognised that the School’s teaching is “good with some that is outstanding”. This is in parallel with a curriculum that provides pupils with a “wide and exciting range of opportunities”
The School was also really pleased that the inspectors noted that pupils “enjoy coming to school” and “are kind and courteous to each other”, and that the promotion of “spiritual, moral, social and cultural development” was “strong”.

Headteacher Simon Prebble said ”It is always good to get external validation of the great work everyone has done and continues to do at Southfield. We are now even closer to Outstanding!”
