Hounslow Council are currently looking at ways to provide more primary school places in Chiswick and is looking for the views of the community.

The proposals are to:

• expand William Hogarth Primary School from 30 to 60 reception places a year from September 2011

• expand St Mary’s Catholic Primary School from 30 to 60 reception places a year from September 2012

These extra places are needed as a result of increasing birth rates, the impact of housing developments, and a greater demand for local state school education.

The council is asking parents, carers and residents to give their views about the way we want to increase school places in the Chiswick area. Deadline is 24th July 2009.
