Sea Cadets are Rowing Around the World in 80 Hours! Sea Cadets from Chiswick Sea Cadets are taking part in a nationwide fundraiser to Row Around the World in 80 Hours between 18-21 April to raise money for a New Ship. With the help of British Rowing, using rowing machines at Barnes Bridge Ladies, a British Rowing club, 20 cadets are rowing 200 miles which will be added to the national total and help reach the goal of 24,900 miles.

The Cadets are pictured below having a preparatory training session at Sons of the Thames Rowing Club assisted by two of the club coaches.

Parents and supporters are invited to come and cheer on the participants who will be rowing Sun Apr 21st 10.30am till 3 pm. Easy parking. Refreshments available. At the same time a team from Sea Cadets HQ will be rowing 100 miles from Abingdon to Tower Bridge in London.

Chiswick Unit will be able to cheer them on their way as they pass by Barnes Bridge about 2 pm. The charity has worked hard over the last two years, already raising £4.2m of the £5.6million target but now the cadets need your help in one last push.

Please help by showing your support and making a vital contribution, whether small or large, to make sure thousands of cadets can keep sailing with Sea Cadets!
