The Conservatives have selected their 3 candidates who will be fighting to win Southfield Ward at next month's Council Elections for the London Borough of Ealing.

They are (from left to right) PATRICK BARR, NICK SABIN and JANET YOUNG.

Patrick Barr lives on Esmond Road in Southfield Ward. He was an A&E Charge Nurse and now works as a co-ordinating nurse assisting expatriates and travellers abroad with medical emergencies. Patrick has been active in the Bedford Park area getting blocked gullies cleared and ensuring that streets get cleaned properly. He has recently been co-opted onto the Southfield Safer Neighbourhoods Panel. Patrick attended the recent "Future of Chiswick's Local Hospitals" forum and is keeping a close eye on local NHS changes. He enjoys the theatre and attends the tabard regularly.

Nick Sabin; Nick Sabin has lived in the Borough for 23 years and works as a caseworker for Southfield based local MP Angie Bray. He was previously an officer in the Metropolitan Police for 20 years, including a stint as a Safer Neighbourhoods Sergeant. His says his background gives him unrivalled experience of tackling crime and anti-social behaviour and an insight into the problems residents face. Nick is keen to work with Southfield's Neighbourhood Watch schemes to increase their coverage. Among other pursuits, he particularly enjoys being a reader for Ealing Talking Newspapers for the blind.

Janet Young- Janet Young is married with two adult children. She was brought up and educated in the Borough. Janet works at the practice manager at the Young Veterinary Partnership on South Parade in Southfield Ward. Janet has led the Partnership's sponsorship of local events such as Green Day, Chiswick Book Festival, Chiswick House Opera and the Chiswick House Dog Show. Her political interests include the environment, local schools and the care of vulnerable adults. Janet is campaigning to reduce sky high CPZ charges in the area.
