Fifty staff members from Chiswick-based Technology PR consultancy Text 100 will be hoping to complete the ‘Thames Towpath Ten;' a ten mile run organised by local running club, West 4 Harriers this Sunday 4th April.

Their aim is to raise a minimum of £10,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign www.breastcancercampaign.org in support of its UK and Ireland managing director, Cathy Pittham, who was recently diagnosed with the disease.

In addition, some of Text 100's four hundred staff members based in twenty-four global offices will be taking part in similar events.   “Each employee has set up an online sponsorship page and has been asked to raise a minimum of one hundred pounds, said Andrew West, managing director, Europe Middle-East and Africa, “With the fund raising efforts of our UK staff, support from clients, the race organisers and local businesses we are confident that we can raise a minimum of £10,000 in the UK alone.   I would like to see this figure doubled with our international efforts.”

In a show of support, West 4 Harriers has made Breast Cancer Campaign its official charity for this year's race. West 4 Harriers will make a donation from proceeds generated by the race to Breast Cancer Campaign.

Tony Hopkins, club secretary, West 4 Harriers said:   “Raising sponsorship funds through running is a great way to support a good cause whilst keeping fit.   We fully support the efforts of Text 100 in its bid to complete the course and raise £10,000 for charity.”
