A person has died after being hit by a Piccadilly line train at Turnham Green station on Sunday afternoon (19 February).

British Transport Police say officers were called at 1.31pm to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

An ambulance attended as well as a London's Air Ambulance Helicopter which landed on Acton Green but paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

This was the fourth fatality at the station in recent months.

There have been a growing number of calls for a reduced speed limit for trains passing through the station. We have asked TfL if it has any plans to improve safety at Turnham Green.
