Devonhurst Place, the mixed commercial and residential development in the centre of Chiswick, has been bought by a developer planning to turn the whole site into flats.

Indigo Scott paid Blackstone, who recently sold Chiswick Business Park, over the guide price of £10 million for the 23,000 sq ft unit which is next door to the main Post Office.

Devonhurst Place is a courtyard development arranged as a terrace and vertically divided into six buildings each with their own dedicated entrances and has 30 car parking spaces at basement level. Indigo Scott has said they plan to provide 60 apartments at the site with an underground car park as part of an ‘exclusive gated community’ with work commencing in Spring 2018.

Concerns have already been raised that increasing the amount of flats in the area may create licensing issues for nearby pubs and restaurants such as Foxlows and the Lamb.

Andrew White, Director in Colliers Residential Development division said, “Located in the affluent west London district of Chiswick, Devonhurst Place is extremely well-suited to conversion to residential use given its courtyard arrangement creating a pleasant and appealing environment alongside the building’s attractive exterior.”
